How InfiniDrive encryption worksRead the full methodology

Why InfiniDrive

A cloud should hold your files—not hold you back.

Client-side encryption, European storage and straightforward pricing give your photos, documents and media a private home.

Encrypted before upload

Your device encrypts file contents and names. InfiniDrive has no keys to read your encrypted files.

EU by design

Primary customer storage stays in Europe, under an EU company and published subprocessor list.

Your files are not an ad product

No advertising profile and no AI model training on the files you store with InfiniDrive.

Built for heavy media

Seek through large audio and video files with byte-range delivery instead of waiting for a full download.

Switch at your own pace

Your file structure stays yours.

Install the desktop app, mount InfiniDrive beside your current cloud and move folders in familiar Finder or File Explorer workflows.

Straight answers

Before you move a single file.

No vague “military-grade” claims. Here is what the comparison means in practice.

How does InfiniDrive encryption compare with Google Drive?

InfiniDrive encrypts file contents and names on your device and cannot decrypt them on its servers. Google One personal plans use provider-managed encryption; client-side encryption requires a qualifying Google Workspace edition.

Can InfiniDrive read my encrypted files?

No. Your device encrypts file contents and names before upload, and InfiniDrive does not hold the keys to decrypt them. Account details and operational metadata, such as encrypted sizes and transfer times, remain visible to run the service.

What if I forget my encryption passphrase?

Keep your recovery key somewhere safe. It can unlock your encryption keys if you forget your passphrase. InfiniDrive cannot recover encrypted files if you lose both; resetting your account password does not decrypt them.

How are annual savings calculated?

We multiply the displayed monthly difference by 12. Estimated prices are calculated for the selected storage from each provider’s published plans. Taxes, annual discounts and temporary promotions are excluded.

How does InfiniDrive protect data in transit?

InfiniDrive protects data in transit with TLS 1.3 across the website, drive, account panel and status page. Automated certificate management and strict transport-security headers help prevent interception and downgrade attacks, while outdated clients that cannot negotiate modern TLS are refused.

Can I use InfiniDrive like a normal disk?

Yes. The macOS app uses Apple File Provider and the Windows app uses the Cloud Files API, so InfiniDrive appears in Finder or File Explorer and downloads files on demand.

Is there a fee to download or share my files?

Personal plans do not add a separate metered egress charge. Normal service protections and the Acceptable Use Policy still apply, but there is no surprise per-gigabyte download invoice.
